About me

I’m a television and feature film screenwriter based in The Netherlands with Dutch and American roots. I started writing and making movies at a young age, before proceeding to study at The Netherlands Film and Television Academy and The University of Westminster, where I followed an MA in Screenwriting.

After gaining work experience in different departments in the industry, I got my start as a professional screenwriter as an episodic writer for TV. In the past decade I’ve worked on numerous television shows, web series and features, in a wide variety of genres, both as an episodic writer and as a head writer / showrunner.

I enjoy writing for teen audiences, trying to engage a new generation of viewers, as well as working on projects for older audiences. What I love most about screenwriting is the collaborative nature of the work, and the chance to dream up a world that others can build on and add to.

In addition to my work as a screenwriter, I also periodically write for Plot Magazine, an online magazine on screenwriting, where I write about the craft of screenwriting and interview colleagues about their process.
